Thank you so much for your interest in our 2017 Italy trip. We hope you can join us on a future sail!

Neverland Cruises kicks off its 2017 global adventures with a trip to Naples and a week of sailing around Italy’s famed Amalfi Coast and the island of Capri. Our catamaran for this trip is a 2012 Lagoon 450 with four ensuite double cabins, two single forepeak berths, and room for 8-10 people.

Capri’s fabled beauty and hedonism has charmed Roman emperors, Russian revolutionaries and Hollywood stars for decades. It’s the perfect microcosm of Mediterranean appeal – a smooth cocktail of chichi piazzas and cool cafes, Roman ruins and rugged seascapes. Aside from its sheer beauty, the region is home to some superb restaurants and hotels. It is also one of Italy’s top spots for hiking, with well-marked trails providing a great means of getting away from the coastal clamour.

It’s a given you love Italy. The food, the wine, the people – not to mention the culture, history, and art – make it one of the most desirable vacation spots in the world. In all the ways we love Italy, the southern capital of Naples holds its own and then some. Bella Napoli may seem a more apt sentiment for an era long since passed, but the aging beauty hasn’t completely succumbed to the ravages of history, politics, and crime. Less than two hours from Rome, this port city founded by the Greeks (Neapolis) and expanded by the Romans will be unlike any other Italian city you have visited thus far.

Deemed by Unesco to be an outstanding example of a Mediterranean landscape, the Amalfi Coast is a beguiling combination of great beauty and gripping drama: coastal mountains plunge into the sea in a stunning vertical scene of precipitous crags, picturesque towns and lush forests.

Among the glittering string of coastal gems, legendary Positano and Amalfi sparkle the brightest, while mountaintop Ravello has the glossy fame of its grandiose villas and Wagnerian connection. Amalfi Coast gateway Sorrento is a handsome and venerable cliff-top resort that has miraculously survived the onslaught of package tourism.

Night 1: Marina @ Castellammare di Stabia
Nights 2 & 3: Island of Capri (guided tour by Ben Mason!)
Nights 4 & 5: Amalfi coast
Night 6: Positano
Night 7: Marina @ Castellammare di Stabia

This itinerary covers about 60 nautical miles total of sailing/motoring, or approximately 10-12 hours in total over the course of the week–so that leaves us with plenty of time for other land and water activities, exploration, or relaxation! If we want to get in more sailing time, we can also consider visiting the island of Ischia for a night, which would add another 40 nm to the trip with a couple of long legs to get there and back.

Average day temp: 80 F
Average night temp: 62 F

Rates below are based on 8 people and include everything related to the boat: charter cost, taxes, insurance, fuel, water, cleaning, moorings, and first and last night at the marina. If the group decides to stay at a marina for any night other than the first or last night, then we’ll all split any additional cost.

Forward cabins: $1,200 per person (now $1,050)
Aft cabins: $1,300 per person (now $1,150)

We’ll investigate options to have the boat pre-provisioned with essentials, light breakfast, lunch, and snack food, etc. This will be an additional cost and we’ll decide as a group if we want to do this. Otherwise we’ll play it by ear and likely eat many of our meals ashore and take advantage of the incredible local cuisine!

We love getting to know potential members of the Yacht Squad! Please tell us a little about yourself, what you’re looking for and anything else you would like us to know. If you haven’t already, please like us on Facebook to stay connected and updated on future Global Adventures.

😮 Wow. There's just not much more to say. The French Polynesia islands were breathtaking, the people were happy and kind, the food was fresh and colorful, and our first Global Adventure with two boats and twenty people was...well to say it was memorable would be an understatement! I think everyone is experiencing some post-holiday blues.

We hope everyone around our bright, beautiful world had a wonderful holiday season and we'll have many more photos of our trip coming soon...stay tuned.
